Preparing officers and non-commissioned officers to command a fire and rescue center with authority and sound judgment, and strengthening trainees' skills in operational management, personnel administration, discipline, inter-agency coordination, and operational readiness supervision: these are the core objectives of the fire station chief training program that opened on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Higher Institute for Civil Protection Studies (ISEPC).
This session has twenty-two (22) participants from 13 African countries: Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Togo, and Burkina Faso. They have come to enhance their skills in managing interventions, coordinating teams, and making decisions in crisis situations.

He also encouraged the trainees to fully engage in the various activities to maximize their learning and the exchange of experiences during this session.
In his address, the Director General of ISEPC, Lieutenant Colonel Zouno Gérard BAMBARA, emphasized the central role of the fire station chief in the effectiveness of emergency response systems. He stressed the need for these officers to demonstrate rigor, commitment, and discipline throughout the session to better meet the increasing demands of managing interventions and coordinating teams in the field.
