The 14th graduating class of the Initial Training Program for Fire and Rescue Officers (FIO) at the Higher Institute for Civil Protection Studies (ISEPC) undertook an educational and commemorative visit to the Thomas Sankara Monument in Ouagadougou on Saturday, February 7, 2026. This visit is part of the ongoing civic education and reinforcement of the values that underpin service to the nation.
Through this highly symbolic trip, the trainees were able to reflect at a major site in national history and absorb the ideals of patriotism, integrity, and courage embodied by President Thomas Sankara. This immersive experience helps strengthen the professional awareness and sense of duty that characterize the mission of fire and rescue officers.
Beyond its historical significance, this visit contributes to the comprehensive training of future civil protection leaders, combining technical knowledge, discipline, ethics, and responsibility.
ISEPC thus continues its mission to train competent, responsible officers who embody strong values and are capable of intervening effectively while upholding the principles of sacrifice and loyalty to the people.
